Ya that things pretty solid. Amazing what they did in terms of emissions and mpg. I agree with the writer though, wish they had gone a little further in the looks department.

hahaha! but come on! they hardly changed anything on the outside! I guess i woulda been happy if they did more to the back. But overall, i think its a solid SUV and it deserves this award. Did you know that the V6 has lower emissions than the Accord V6? Pretty impressive.

I honestly didn't know it was all new for 06. I thought it was just a refresh from the 02-05 models. It looks so similiar still.

But, if they've refined the ride even more, that's impressive.

Thanks for the info Jason. Jeffrey, I agree with you, I didn't know it had changed vastly from the '05 model. Guess I should pay closer attention

The V6 has the same emissions as the Escape Hybrid amazingly!

I learned that little tidbit on a FordStar broadcast.

i wonder if emissions tests and ratings are done on an emissions/litre basis or emissions/mile. Emissions/litre would level the playing field with hybrids and conventional cars, looking mainly at how well the engine runs, while emissions/mile would take into account the fact that a hybrid's engine doesn't run as much.
