Right hand drive is only used in the UK and the majority of the places they colonised. IE Australia, New Zealand, South Africa etc.
Having it be left hand drive just means it wasn't tested in England basically.

The sound of the 300bhp engine was unmistakable, just like the car’s fast acceleration with 4 wheel drive and the rally-like sound of that dump valve while shifting gears.
BTW, the car has German plates on (Köln), hence the left hand drive.
