Most of the thinking doesn't make great financial sense. But 3 of the ideas have merrit

The D3 based Fairlane needs to be out NOW. Capture a new market with a great looking minivan alternative that no one else makes. Its agonizing to see how slow progress is on this vehicle when the market is dying for exactly this type of product.

The C1 Focus needs to come out. How can it be 'too expensive' when the Mazda 3 uses the platform now? I am really hoping Ford was just waiting to see the new gen civic and next corrola before deciding on exactly how to beat both of them. Keep it cool with options like hids and nav, and um Mycolor anyone? Make it stand out, come on already!

Bronco! Needs to be something small like the concept and very basic. Base it off the Escape or C1. Price range from 18-24k, 4cyl 'fashion' CUV. Scion shows there's a market for this. Worst thing they could do is make it expensive or overcomplicated. Use the powertrains from the 4cyl Escape and leave it at that. Get all the 'cool touches' like luminecent gauges, cool wheels, hid's, bluetooth and satalite radio standard. Get the darn Mycolor in this one too, why not use it as much as possible? It could clean house if costs are kept down-do this 'japanese style', keep the cheap platform, spend on the gizmos. Ignore leather and moonroofs to keep the price in this range. Think attractive Element. Good mileage, PZEV ratings. Ford needs to win the youthful buyer back.
