Actually you have a previous model of Focus, not the new one.

2000-2007 Focus w/ 2.0L was rated at 27 mpg city, 37 mpg highway.

If you convert that to the 2008 rating system it is rated the same, and the 2008 system is not accurate, the 2007 and older one is more so, and even that under shoots the cars real stats.

I'm glad to hear that Focus has better fuel economy than Edmunds reported.

My Fusion is rated at 20 city, 28 highway. According to message center in my Fusion I'm getting 25-26 mpg on a city driving. Can't complain.

looking forwrd to a test drive. i think the sedan has some really slick lines to it, and thats a lot comin from a hatchback lover. Although i must say i will give the chevy beat a try when i am actually going to buy a new small car.

What's most appealing about the Fiesta is that while, of course, it's an efficient econobox, it is my no means a dray, penury penalty box. It has fantastic styling inside and out, well done detailing and is supposed to be a hoot to drive -- a wonderful, viable small car rather than merely something to put up with until one can afford a "real," big car in more traditional Detroit thinking.

This needs to be released to the US the day it's finished for EU/SA markets, not wait almost a year after production is underway.
