Lightning for a daily driver
Lightning for a daily driver
I went to the dealership today for the 3500 mile oil change on the GT.While I was wiating they had this awesome Lightning w/5.4 S/C.Is 24K to much for this darn near perfect condition w/52K miles on it?I really don't know much about these trucks but this thing really screwed down the road, just nasty badd.
5.4??? What year was it?....and if it was supercharged...that was done aftermarket...
The last Lightnings....which I assume this one was...and would cost anywhere near 24K had the terminator motors...S/C 4.6L 32V

1993-1995 had 5.8L (240 hp) and 1999-2004 had 5.4L (360 hp and later 380 hp).
Wow......My bad......oops....
I cant believe that! I thought for sure they had the Cobra Motor! I am ashamed of myself....Anyone have about six feet of rope???
As bad as i want the Lightning I really need a 4wd so I'm gonna catch my breath and hope to find a nice F-150 4x4. I work up in the mountains when duty calls so I have to be practical and look past getting another toy.I have two projects in storage already.
Lemme tell you folks this Lightning was really nice.

I think you will be satisfied with F-150, but its very underpowered (especially 4.6L). I bought brand new F-150 last summer and I love it (especially during winters), but I wish it had more power.
