LA motor show: a missed opportunity for Lincoln

ALLOW US TO
REINTRODUCE OURSELVES.
Edsel Ford knew something about building a fine automobile: That you don't create a great luxury car by beginning with that intention. Instead, he simply built a car that he would want to drive.
This is how Lincoln started. It's how we'll become great again.
Starting with a new design studio, four disarmingly fresh models over the next four years and a new focus on the most important part of the car: You, the driver.
We've reinvented the wheel, by placing you at its center.
Introducing the Lincoln Motor Company. Pleased to meet you all over again.

I've copied and pasted the my statement 3-4 times and i'll do it again...
If they were to make the MKZ - performance AWD system (forget this historic RWD V8s and 19 foot tanks... that's bygone for Lincoln, wont happen) - 365+ hp ecoboost - suicide doors (with self closing door latches, ala Bentley) - Sporty/rim package - black accents - less chrome - new era lighting development ( similar to BMW laser headlights) - proper suspension - Chiseled/sharp rather than rounded body. ... Would be legit.
Lincoln is banking on new/better industry leading technology for the future - So I envision a lot of eggs in that basket.
BTW they'll sell 80,000 cars in 2012. Which, while not great and not an industry leader, people ARE still buying the cars (like me). So Lincoln has a foot in the door, how they capitilize on it is with the above...
(80k *$40k = $3.2billion in dealer sales.)
For reference- Caddillac is on pace for 140k. Infinity 115k. Buick 175k. Volvo 68k. Acura 150k. Audi 132k.
