HySeries Edge spotted
Check out this sweet Edge:

Not only does it look good, its got the same plug-in, series-hybrid fuel cell powertrain as the Airstream concept (just a helluval lot better looking). At least on paper, that's the best fuel cell powertrain set up i've heard of.

Y'all know how I'm really into alternative drivetrains and all... but those look like the right clothes for a twin turbo 3.5 V6 powered SVT Edge.
Then again, the Edge seems a bit too chunky for an SVT, maybe they could bring the weight down a couple hundred pounds. Would it look really bad if they took all that safety equipment out for a high performance version?

people have pointed out on other sites that the rear quarter window is a little different. Its got that slight slope upwards at the back end. I wonder if this is something to do with the powertrain somehow, can't really think of why. But it just seems strange that they would make such an extreme change for a car like this. Not that i'm complaining at all, i think it looks great.
LOL, maybe it IS for a future SVT version packing a TT 3.5/AWD combo. One obvious exterior difference of the mid-90ish Caprice and Impala SS sedans was the rear side-window treatment similar to the difference mentioned with the Edge in the picture.
It has door handles, they're the flush-fitting popout kind you normally only see on showcars and ultra-imports.
The whole d-pillar area is different from the producion edge. The piece here is simpler and has fewer pieces apparent. My guess is they changed it becuase that is where the production filler cap is, and the since the hydrogen refueller is different they had to make a new panel.
