GM has the proof.
They ran the same simulation that predicted the ZL1 will beat a '13 GT500 on the Silverado v. the F150/250.
GM should either fire the programmer that wrote the algorithim or get a computer bigger than a 286 to run the simulations.
Update, GM predicts the apocalypse will arrive shortly after the ZL1 but before the '13 GT500 so we will never know which is faster.

Ford's answer right back with the same commercial could go like this , but with. 'Truth in advertizing' ; Where's Dale? - He didn't make it. Seems he chose to jump into his Camaro- must have pulled a hole-shot, snapped an output shaft and the Empire State building fell on him! - Why didn't he jump into his Ford pickup? It would have been a clean get away!
It is funny to me that ford had to pull the commercial of the guy who was interviewed stating he wanted a company that could stand on its own two feet due to pressure by the government but GM gets to run whatever they want.
Missing the obvious... Mad Max's V8 interceptor... Ford Falcon. Car of the post-Apocalypse waste land.
But if they really wanted to get a chevy, they would show all the ford owners out in the wilderness with lots of supplies and rebuilding civilization (using the trucks of course) having be able to get out before everything went to crap.

Yes, the Ford guys would be rebuilding civilization on their own, starting new crops, digging wells, making improvements with whatever they had to work with, etc.
The GM guys would be sitting around eating Twinkies waiting on the Government to save them.

Now that would be an awesome commercial.
I think Ford did the right thing to try and prevent the derogatory ad from being shown. No good would come by Ford stooping to the level of GM by producing an ad to counter the GM ad. I like Fords approach, speak softly and carry a big stick. I cant wait to see the ZL1 get bashed by Fords new big stick.
