Point is, until they announce officially that it is coming, you won't get pricing.

It would be nice if Ford could finally confirm it and at least tell us what to expect.

I mean, I'm kinda waiting for one, but not if they're gonna price it in V6 Mustang's range (which they might, since Fiat has done that with the 500 Abarth).

We were talking Fiesta ST. But, we're still waiting on Focus ST pricing as well.

Fiesta ST.

We already know that Focus ST will be priced similar to VW GTI and Mazdaspeed 3. So $24,000-$25,000.

I really do love the GTI and Mazdaspeed 3. But I feel like the Focus ST will slot right between them and fix the problems each of them has.

I love the GTI interior and how smooth and sporty the ride is, but I feel like the engine needs more power.

The MS3 needs a better interior, plus it has too much power for FWD. It torque steer is terrible and dangerous on bumpy roads. Not to mention the suspension on the MS3 is very hard/rough for daily driving. I'm sure its great for a track though.

I hope, from what we've seen, the ST comes with good tech and nice interior (plus those recaro's) and I hope that 2.0 ecoboost has around 250hp and 250tq.

Anyone else agree?

I agree that GTI could use more power, but not much more. Maybe additional 20-30 hp. It's a perfectly balanced car and it can keep up on the track against much more powerful cars (like Mazdaspeed3).

I just hate VW's interiors, they just look so plain and simple even on the expensive models.

I thought the MS3 went downhill from 1st to 2nd generation. The drivetrain is more refined, but in terms of aesthetics and comfort, it went backwards. Mazda has went away from their "zoom-zoom" philosophy in recent years, and their cars show it terribly.

The GTI has never really impressed me. It's more expensive when evenly equipped, less powerful, and more expensive to own. I can't see paying $28-29k for one and knowing there's a better value out there.

I think the ST will fit right between them, and really shine, but the price has to be right on, or they'll fail before they start selling them. A fully loaded car shouldn't cost more than $27k IMO.

While I would love to see that price, I highly doubt a fully loaded one will come to that. A MS3 tops out at $27k with much less technology and odd interior. I would imagine it will start right with the others, around $22,000 - $26,000 (depending on trim level) and then with options be right up with the GTI (being in the low 30s) but be more capable and just as luxurious.

And I enjoy the GTI interior. Sometimes less is more. I'm not a fan of a really busy interior. But interior and exterior is all opinion, performance speaks for itself though.

Currently the least expensive Focus hatchback is $18,300. And that's the basic model with no equipment so I doubt Ford will base the ST on it.
Focus ST will be probably based of Focus SEL hatchback (MSRP $21,300) so we're most likely looking at least $24,500+ base price.

I just picked up a real nice Tuxedo Black SEL for around $21k. Sticker was like $24k. Taking a little time to get used to be its a very cool car honestly. So much more quiet on the inside than my Escape was and the tech is great.
