Sounds cool to me.
Though I have a feeling there will be alot of ex-lightning owners looking for a new truck that will not find this to be what they want. At the same time though, it could very well attract a new audience. People who want a fast truck that they can still use off-road
I hope they make it

yeah, that doesnt say "SVT" to me, they're about fast vehicles, not off road machines...that's what made the last gen of lightnings so badass, they were a truck, but could outrun most sporty cars

Oh why not? With an off-road product under their belt, Ford will have a valid excuse for the next SVT Mustang (or other vehicle) with a "4x4" ride height straight from the factory.
Seriously, SVT should be a name associated with higher-performance Ford on-road vehicles.

Looks cool, the whole SVT thing is sketchy though. Ford could be trying to expand it into other areas of motorsports like off-road racing, rally, etc. An SVT euro/rally focus would be pretty sweet...

Agreed, and nobody said otherwise, its just that traditionally SVT has been in the market of turning regular vehicles into 'on-road sports' versions of themselves. And in that respect, the Raptor defies the SVT badge.
