2017 Lincoln MKZ: This Is It (400hp/400tq/AWD)

http://jalopnik.com/2017-lincoln-mkz...-it-1743298643

The mighty hand of the free market is forcing Lincoln to further branch out from its Ford roots, and this, the 2017 Lincoln MKZ, is its first, well, not a foray into the independent wilderness, but a peek out through the curtains. It looks a lot like the Lincoln Continental concept we saw a little while back, and it’ll be available with a unique-to-Lincoln twin-turbo, 400-horsepower, 400 pound-feet of torque V6.

Well... That's underwhelming.

I'm sure the Lincoln people will be ok with it though.

It has no character, especially those slab sides.

Where has the Lincoln design team gone, the ones that made these awesome cars?

I see Jaguar in the grill. I see meh everywhere else in the design department.

The car might pop and stand out a little more and add some appeal if it's displayed in a different color?

I'd drive it. Would look good in silver with dark tint.

I like it. My wife's 2015 MKZ AWD 2.0 drives nice. Be interested to see how the 400hp/tq drives with the Focus RS AWD system.

I like the idea of the 400/400 V6. It reminded me that the MKR concept had a D35 with 415-HP/400-TQ.

I'd like to see Ford drop the 3.7 from the Mustang in favor of a twin-turbo D35 set-up similar to that which appeared in the MKR concept. Though, I am sure that might not be feasible (cost-wise). With a boosted I4 as the base--330-340-HP, a 415-HP boosted V6, and a NA V8 tuned to a point somewhere between the current Coyote and the current Voodoo, it would be a strong line up.

Motor is a step up, not liking the front as much as the existing design. No idea what the back looks like. I have owned three Lincolns, Continental, LS V8 Sport and currently have a MKS. Unquestionable the LS was the most fun to drive.

I like our 2014 MKZ better. The front of this one doesn't go with the rear treatment, proportions are off as well as the style.
