2015 Edge leaked
Exactly. It's not as if trapezoidal grille frames and multiple chrome bars are a new Ford aesthetic paradigm; those have been their signatures for several years now.
This may have been planned within Ford. It's probably too early to show the 2015 Edge at NY or Geneva seeing that it's going global but they could show it at Frankfurt or Tokyo. I think with Kia showing the Evos"ish" styled Kia Cross GT Concept and the Hyundai Sante Fe styled similar to Fords Kinetic Design they wanted to show that they were not the ones copying designs. If they waited too long to show this everyone (the ones that think it takes a year to design a new car) would cry foul.
that was a pretty awesome slide presentation. I'm pretty excited! That MK-C concept was sweet.
'Scuse my ignorance, but is the Edge a 5 or 7 seater? I know the Explorer is 7, but we won't be getting that in Europe (although I think it could taker the fight to the XC90 here). The new Santa Fe is a 7 seater, too. Surprising how few SUV here are 7 seaters. We're currently looking to replace Mrs TT's 7 seat Galaxy and the XC90 (used) is our current preferred choice. Ford just have nothing like it here......the Kuga is too small, being Focus based and just a 5 seater.
The new Edge looks good though

Edge is a 5 seater, but as far as know its larger than the Escape/Kuga, since its Fusion based.
By the way, Santa Fe is available as both 5 and 7 seater.

Very true!
The Santa Fe is the reason Mrs TT wants an SUV now!
Her Galaxy was hit and she was given a brand new Santa Fe loaner........it was the 7 seater and fitted our needs well (she's a childminder).
Pity the Edge is only a 5 seater. Kinda steps on the Kuga's toes, here at least.

Sorry, off topic
The Galaxy (ours is a Mk2) is a very practical car, but can feel a bit "van-like" to drive.
A Mk3 or an S-Max would be ideal, but the Mrs fancies an SUV and the XC90 fits the bill. The 4 wheel drive will come in handy given the snow we keep getting during our winters now, too!

The optima has very similar lines to the Fusion... especially the c pillar.
