like:

-the front, most of the side profile, the rear and interior.
-really lovin the refined grille treatment, looks like wings, flows better with the front.
-looks very muscular dead on from the rear flanks.

dont like:

-the side shot but only the rear portion where the roofline meets with the trunk, not feeling that, looks tacked on. that portion reminds me too much of the old bangled butt bmws. perhaps in a diff color or seeing it in person would change my perspective, dunno....

I'm still not sure how I feel about the new front end design that Lincoln is going to, but I certainly like how it flows better on the MkZ. I LOVE that rear end design and the interior looks amazing, almost like a spaceship.

Hopefully they don't stray far from the concept's design when it comes to the production version because I think this could be a winner.

That's pretty nice.

Hints of the new Jaguar XJ in the profile

Good article, thanks for posting. I liked the last Zephyr concept, but "it" got lost in the transformation to the production model (ever so slightly). I hope history doesn't repeat itself . . .

Front end is a little sketchy for me, but I dig the car! Interior is gorgeous, in my opinion.

I'll be more interested to see what he can do when he starts from the ground up. I don't suspect the MKZ was one of those designs.

You must be optimists. I salute you. Lincoln can now close it's doors as this is pretty useless. Until they build from the ground up they will be an irrelevant brand. My opinion of corse.

"Wolff—who drives a black Mustang"

I like him already

This is based on the new Fusion, right? Call me old fashioned, but unless a "premium" car rides on a RWD platform, it's going to be an also-ran

Audi seems to be having a lot of success with FWD and AWD cars, which have been based on Volkswagens for years.

I think Lincoln can too ...

What's with designer's need to keep ancient grills? The whole design changes from yesterday but they still want to 'keep yesterday alive' - with just the grill. And in most cases - the throwback to 'yesterday's grill' is oh so out of place.

As the article I linked points out, this is not the "messish" car that will single-handedly save lincoln. It's Step 1, a BIG step but still just the first. More redesigned cars are coming as fast as they can, and probably at next NAIAS we'll see the first ground-up Max Wolff Lincoln concepts/teasers.

But Lincoln is far from Audi. Even if they branch in the direction Audi is, they will need a lot of help on platform advancement and tuning. Just like how Audi does with VW products.

I'd love to see what was designed before Wolff got there. Makes ya wonder.

Lincoln is getting a lot of money thrown at them, so don't count them out yet. With the new Lincoln design studio, dealer improvements, and commitment of seven new/refreshed cars in the next two years, hopefully we start seeing the transition of Lincoln.

I shouldn't be so harsh. I do love the new Fusion, and this is actually leaps and bounds better than it was. I think that Audi has found a niche that BMW and MB hasn't been able to fill and they are growing on people more and more. I think Lincoln has the same opportunity. Just seize it! The new A7 is being raves about and that's exactly the kind of car that Lincoln should be aiming at. Just not as expensive. Sorry guys, Lincoln just strikes a nerve with me and I'd actually hate to see it go by the wayside. No matter how critical I am of the company.
