2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid - First Drive (R&T)

Joining the herd, Ford has presented its newest version, the Fusion Hybrid, and one could argue it’s best on the road.

Went from 47 mph in electric up to 62 mph electric? I'm intrigued.

Looks nice. But I don't get Ford's obsession with that color for all their hybrids LOL

Hybrid fanboy effect. A large percentage of Hybrid buyers want everyone in a 3-block radius to know that have a Hybrid, at all times.

Yeah you're right. It's almost more about image than it is the actual fuel savings

I like that color. If I needed to repaint my gas-swilling, cat-deleted, HCI-equipped, bored and stroked, V8 Mustang, that would be my choice. Just because. Maybe even throw those "Hybrid" badges on the fender where the "5.0" badges used to be for good measure. I already get a decent laugh seeing badges like that on GM's full-sized SUVs and BMW's cars.
Seriously though, I like the fact Ford has one of the best-looking mainstream hybrid vehicles on the market. Hope it does well against the competition.
