A DI 3.7 version with maybe 300 would be encouraging if the chassis isn't anesthetized, while a 375-400hp TT would be a truly impressive class player with a matching chassis and AWD.

Needs to be more Astony
I will be extremely dissappointed with Ford if the DI 3.7 only has 300hp. the G37 has 330hp.

IMo there is one area where the MKS has amazing potential to standout, ride quality/NVH. For those who havent been in the new Taurus the improvement in ride quality is unbelievable while handling remains at least the equal of the outgoing Five Hundred. If Lincoln gets this right I can easily believe this car could match the LS430 in terms of ride quality and on road comfort. And while people here may complain that this doesn't make for a fun car, as lexus proves every day, the above sells.

I'm really rooting for this car. It's the one North American vehicle that has a chance at beating those Euro prestige marques at their own game. By the CTS' third evolution, I think it'll stand toe-to-toe with them without caveats. The '08 is already dangerously close in several key respects and a little better in others. One of the mags just rated the CTS as a better handling sedan than the BMW 535...that's quite an achievement!
Lincoln should look across town and take a hard look at what Cadillac is doing. They could learn a thing or two.

I never liked the first-gen CTS styling, looked completely klepto. The current styling looks like it was actually deigned by an intelligent person. Not my cup of tea, that would be the Deco streamliner MKR, but much better. I think if Linc really embraces the MKR styling, though, they'll produce some really beautiful cars. Not just handsome like the MKS, I mean jaw-dropping. Hopefully the towncar replacement, the MKZ gen 2, and the eventual MKS gen 2 go down that road.
