Window Help

May be going to have a look at a 2002 GT Convertible, the current owner says the when you lower the driver's side window from the up closed position it comes off the runners, is this a big fix? Any ideas? Thanks

May need a new window regulator. Check ebay or contact http://mpsautosalvage.com/ You'll probably have to get a new motor with it but the regulator had to be installed with rivets. Old ones will have to be drilled out and new ones popped into place. If I remember, the rivets were rather large and I had to get them from NAPA.

It's a PITA if you've never did it before. But I've had had to remove the door card so often that I was able to replace my window motor fairly recently within 10 minutes. BTW I'm a girl. I only bring this up to let you know that of I can do it, you can do it. Although the seller could get a better offer if he did the work himself.

Thanks for the reply, I just picked the car up, the window goes down about half way then it comes off the rollers, to get it back up you need to kind of pull it up in to position then it will automatically go up
