I don't understand why there is a common consensus that the 94-95s are expensive and difficult to mod just like the 96-98s. The 5.0 has huge amounts after market, and it isn't very difficult with the old pushrod to get power.

Push rod motors are all Ive ever worked on personaly. Except when I tor down my susuki motor to replace a melted head. I would be more nervous with the newer motors.

You're right about that. Modular motor parts are way more expensive, a set of cams can cost you between $300 ^ for 2v, and over $600 for 4v And that's just cams.
And since you can adapt many fox parts on later 5.0's, the aftermarket supply is even greater
But I have to admit that the 4v Termi. engines are the toughest modulars and can make monster hp on stock long blocks. Once again, bring $$.

The sad thing is that at the time I bought my 97' GT I could have had a 94' Cobra with a little more mileage for a couple grand less than what I paid for my GT .......... Live and learn I guess
