I know it sounds silly but my main gripe with the fox is that it didn't have a chrome pony in the grille! ... I think if Ford gave all foxes the 93 Cobra body kit it would have been more identifiable as a Mustang.
P.S.
the 1993 Cobra is the best looking fox of all time!

I also love the Highway Patrol Fox notch backs! But this isn't a Fox thread. So...

Mine's more like the red headed step child of the bunch. But I don't give a $!%t I love it, and that's what matters the most.

Personally I'm in agreement, I think the fox cars were very important to Mustang, but once you get outside of the gearheads and long time Mustang guys it gets snubbed. The comment I most often see; "It doesn't even look like a Mustang".
Anyways I can see where you guys are coming from with the 94-98 cars, Ford really screwed up there with the introduction of the 4.6

The Mustang started as a light weight, long nosed, front engine RWD that was affordable to many and gave a performance nearly unmatched in the price class. How is the Fox body not exactly this definition. Coupe = Notch and Hatchback = Fastback. The Fox was truly more Mustang than people realized. Oh well I guess. Just think, the Camaro and Firebird went through some very life altering changes much worse than the Mustang did. When it was done (2002), it was really more sports car than pony.

I love my 2000 gt. It's my favorite body style. The round cut outs of the bottom trim for exhaust. The best looking factory rims ever put on a mustang. The 5 spoke 17 inch horse capped ponys. The backnof the car with it's throwback to the early mustangs. I bought my car cause I love it. My wife calls it my mistress.

I gotta say my 2002 gt is probably one of the greatest cars ive ever driven. Yea it may not be the fastest thing on the streets but i dont give a ****! Its an amazing car, has held the title of pony car king for so mamy years, and its just beautiful. Theres other guys inmustangs but even guys in the 5.0's and even a couple shelby guys are turning their heads whe they see me! I gotta say its a great feeling. 99-04 is the best body styling in my opinion. And many more would agree, i mean why else do you see more SN95 'stangs on the road than the S197's?

Mine is not a Cobra R. It is a GT modded to look like a Cobra R, all 2000 Cobra R's are RED. This car looks and handles like a Cobra R, but I have A/C and a stereo and more HP than a Cobra R.

lol math?
1999 minus 2011 = 12 years
2005 minus 2011 = 6 years
Just saying that the new edge body style has been around for 12 years of course there would be more in the street lol
if you count sn95's it's 16 years so why wouldn't there be more than S197's?

I think geogprahy has something to do with it as well. I see about an even mix of SN95/New Edge and S-197 with the Fox cars fading.

Around here it's mainly SN95's and foxes, followed by S197's and a few classics here and there. Camaro's are rarely seen, old & new. Wonder why.
