Um... None of those are true roots... They are all twin screw.. look... It's a quick Google question. Search "difference between roots and twin screw superchargers". The answers right there...

None of those are twin screw superchargers.

Whipple - twin screw

Kennebell - twin screw

Saleen - twin screw

Standard Eaton, TVS, etc. - not a twin screw.

I'm sure there are some out there, but the only OEM twin screw supercharger I can think of right off hand was the Lysholm on the Ford GT.

Well you got me... I looked it up. Looks like eaton used a little of the twin screw design while keeping the roots style Rotors... Normal roots systems don't have a twist in the Rotors do they? It was my understanding that the Rotors did not have a twist to them.. could be wrong again though lol.

The supercharged Mercedes cars also use Lynsholm twinscrews.

Its really about the shape of the lobes.

here is the eaton tvs roots rotors.

Notice on the twinscrew there is a male and female rotor, where they are identical shape on the roots blowers.

Lol guess I've been looking at them wrong this whole time. I thought the twist is what made it a twinscrew.

The twin screw is just an evolution of a roots blower. The roots was just a straight lobe blower. Later technology is the reason they started twisting the lobes ( more efficient and better balancing). Same concept with a twist. Which is why the old roots type and twin screw are called the same thing now. Don't know if anyone still builds a straight lobe blower anymore. They all twist them.

you could always go with a torktech kit and try finding a takeoff m112 from a terminator
