tie rod and ball joint replacement

Guys,

How difficult is it for someone with medium mechanic skills to do this? Or am I best taking it to a shop and getting them to do the work?

Thanks

James

The tie rods are easy enough for the do-it-yourselfer, though you will need an alignment afterwards. The ball joints would need to be pressed out, which could be tricky if you don't have a press.

I just had the balljoints replaced. They looked like a sucker that was sent threw the shredder.

Also i need a new tie rod (the inner i believe) and they need a new rack. My poor baby

James, i'd just replace the whole control arm assembly withg 03/04 cobra units. Stiffer bushing, new ball joints and a slightly better turning radius. Ryan did it on my old Mystic and it drove great afterwards.

But thats just me
