Is there a seperation at 98 and 99 models
I just bought my daughter her first mustang, a v-6 94. I noticed as I look for parts. I noticed that most of the SN 95 are divided by 94-98 and 99-04.
I never really followed the mustang evolution that closely, what is the deal with this apparent seperation?
Thanks

You can even draw a finer line, dividing 94-95 from 96-98 models.
The 94-95 V6s were rated at 145 HP, while the 96-98s were rated at 150 HP.
There's a subtle styling distinction between the 94-95 and 96-98 model years.
The 94-95 have narrow horizontal tail lights:

The 96-98 have wider vertical tail lights:

I'll second James' referral to the timeline. You can even find out how many Mustangs of each color were produced in 1994.

94 and 95's were also well known for blowing head gaskets, supposedly a problem they resolved in the 96 production run of the v6 cars. Ford issued a tsb on the headgaskets for the 94-95's, and replaced them free if the car was under 7 years old and 100k miles. They replaced my entire engine due to headgasket failure for free.

just curious anybody notice that 98 v6 pic has fox body wheels?

They're not fox body wheels, they look a little similar to the pony wheel used on 91-93 5.0s but they are different.
