Well theres alot of different reasons, But have you added any CAI systems to the car? I know SOME cars are fussy with the K&N CAI, some need the Screen put back in even though they recommend taking them out.
You can clean the TPS Throttle position sensor.

Thanks, yes it has a steeda CAI on it. I didn't put in on it was there when I brought it. I have already done a cleaning kit on it and it didn't help. I am not sure which screen you are referring to. I will check on the TPS.

Thanks for the help!

Have it scanned for DTCs... I reccomend Any Mustang OBDll owner purchase a Code Reader. They are relatively inexspensive and a must for Diagnosing Driveability concerns correctly. You can pick up a decent code reader for 50-60$...Without scanning, were all just guessing! That being said it does sound like a common issue with either the MAF or IAC... Good Luck!
