Replacing Mirror Help

Had a truck driver help me lighten the car a bit the other night by taking off my driver’s side mirror. I want to replace this myself rather then pay a dealership to do something that seems pretty simple.

It looks like I just need to do the following:

Remove tweeter cover
Unscrew tweeter from door and unhook the connector
Unbolt the 3 bolts holding the pieces left of the mirror assembly
Remove the window controls panel
Unhook the mirror wire from the connector there
Plug in the new mirror wire
Bolt the new mirror on
Put everything back together

Does anyone know if I missed anything? I saw people saying that you need to remove the entire door panel but it looks like I don’t have to do that if the connector for the mirror wire is right behind the window controls.

Sounds good to me. Even if it turns out that you need to remove the door panel, it is no biggy, just make sure you do not break the clips.

Nah I had to replace the mirror on my 99 at one point and you do not have to take off the door panel.

everything you stated was the exact steps.

Oh one more thing..i dunno if you did it yet or not. but If i remember correctly you do not ahve to take off the window controls on the door. I beleive the connector was up near the mirror assembly so it can be disconnected and reconnected right from there.

I could be worng but i honestly don't remember having to remove those controls.

you're correct, I can access the wire from the tweeter but I couldn't get my hand in there far enough to get to the wire. It's pretty easy to get to with the window control panel out though.
