I just got my SCT tuner from AM. It did a lot for the stock motor running the Performance 89 tune. I decided that it was impractical to buy another car this summer, and either of my other options(buying a Mach/Cobra motor or buying a new 2v and S/C) would require a tune so I used my tax return so I have one less thing to buy later this summer.

Went out to an auto-x with a few buddies including future9er24 and BlackBird. Another buddy brought his hexacopter to film it from above, and it turned out awesome! I'll link to it add soon as he posts.

I think I could have shaved another half second off if I had seats like my old ones that supported me more. My buddy insists on doing some editing before he posts them, but as soon as he posts them I will post them here.

I think it's just getting the timing between the two synced up to play then both on screen.

I was super stoked to see the times I put down. I was a solid three seconds faster than when I went around the same track in my buddy's 4v SN95 Cobra. I think it might just be chalked up to having extra experience at this track, but I really felt good going through the tight turns with the IRS, and through the longer sweeping turns putting down power felt like I had tons of grip in the rear. The front end was far less responsive and I was getting a considerable amount of understeer while getting on the power through turns. I'm thinking of getting swaybars to remedy that.
Overall extremely happy. I will say that I was not thrilled with how my tires communicated grip level. All the sudden grip was just gone. I think it might have to do with the pavement being so smooth, but they made no sound at all when they were about to lose traction.
Waiting on these videos is killing me!

riding in that run, I could definitely tell there was a lot more rear end stability than what I experience day to day. On that sweeper I was sure you were going to get sideways, and we did
, but not nearly as much as I think my car would have.
And it was a comfortable ride to/from. sigh. curse your IRS

But I agree, there's something to be said having an IRS over a solid axle. It's certainly more unstable over bumps in a corner. Probably doesn't handle weight transfer as well.

Y'all need to hurry up with these videos! Lol.
Sounds like it was a good time. I wish I could have made it to my first of the year Sunday
. Y'all are just making me jealous.

Arin was brave enough to ride with me on my first run but as soon as I mentioned "traction control" and "off" in the same sentence he suddenly decided he'd rather go to the swap meet. :P
Plus the deals!
I don't know if this will work but the videos up! Pete did a fantastic job of locking up his front wheels.
I kid, I kid.
