I haven't done any before, no. But I am willing to try, and I figure, what could go wrong?

As long as whatever we're making is to hold audio equip, I won't help

I will, however, stand nearby and make a general nuisance of myself while you two ruin peter's trunk capacity

Lol what's he carry in there anyways? Or you could just do what I did and make a rear seat delete to house the sub and make it infinite baffle - lose no trunk space, depending on the sub you get better response, and saves him from having you naked in his back seat ever again...

I'm just morally opposed to audio additions in general

The irony here is Peter's car is actually practical and gets filled with people all the time, and he's installing a stupid box in the trunk.

My car rarely fills its maximum occupancy of 2, is partially gutted and always full of junk and I can't abide a sub

Mines full of junk too, car parts and misc CDs laying around. Don't use the back seat as a seat hardly ever. And my passenger seat is used to hold my backpack more than it is for people.

mine has been unusually junky the last couple months. I need to build a storage bin for the trunk to hold some of the stuff, I just haven't done so.

The only thing in my trunk right now is the sub box and the amp.

I really don't like having the stupid box back there since it takes up way more room to have a standalone box than to have a glassed housing that uses space I wouldn't put stuff rather than just sitting in the middle being in the way.

And now for something completely different...

I was trying to show off the other day, dumped the clutch and mashed the gas and no burn out, just traction. There was however, what I think is wheel hop. It felt like the rear right wheel was bouncing off the ground... I think I'm ready to think about bushings for my IRS. Seems like when I break traction that doesn't happen at all. Just when it catches traction under a lot of load.

Infinite baffle. Don't have any on this phone, but I'll get you some this weekend. My mustang doesn't have a box - just a wood baffle where the rear seatbacks were, with 2 12s mounted on it. I had a custom set of subs made specifically for this usage and also have another set that works well in this arrangement. Saves your trunk, sounds great, and somewhat works as a brace. You can either mount it behind your seats, or do like I did and make it into a rear seat delete.

You could offset it to one side too. Doesn't need to be centered. Same principle as the speakers on the rear deck and in the doors - they aren't enclosed.
