He said not until I get the shocks/struts, but we basically did a spring replacement on his car, so it's not gonna be a big deal. Just drop out the old LCA's, put his old ones in, and instead of putting the stock springs in, put the new ones. The struts/shocks might be a bit scary though. We aren't exactly sure how to do those...

You'll need a tool. I guess get a loaner from auto parts store. I went ahead and bought one since I've already taken the springs off the struts 3 times. It is really not a big deal at all. It just takes a little time to compress and the relaease the springs and then compress again.

We didn't need any tool other than a press for the tie rod end, for where it connects to the spindle. Do you mean the spring compressor? We used the "cheating" way where you use a jack instead of using the compressor.

Yeah I meant the spring compressor. The cheating way sounds scarier though.

and the cheating way isnt that scary now that we've done it. the spring compressor we got was too long so it never even compressed the spring or aything. it was a fail

I just used the elcheapo all thread kind. I don't see how it could be too big.

It needs to be able to go before it'll ever need to stop.

It's the easy way. We could record a vid of it if you'd like.

How can you stop more than 0mph?

I guess it can have better looking brakes while it sits in the driveway.
