My thoughts exactly. I'm not sure I can even legally get her home without headlights (?)

Is it not legal to run at all without headlights? How can I get her home?

Buy headlights, bring them with you and install them before you leave. They don't really need to work to get the car home since you'll probably pick it up during the day time.

Have your flashers on, and you should be fine.

I think I'm going to hit up the pick and pull tomorrow. Bring the headlights down and mock them up. That is, if I can get the OK from the parents in the morning.

Sounds like a plan! If you know what kind of issues the car has you could also be able to pull parts from another 94~95 GT at the salvage yard. No guarantee they'll be in working condition though. May still be worth a shot. Wish I could grab some 94/95 spindles and brake components for my Fox... =( Well, best of luck - hope you get the OK.

I don't know which sensors are malfunctioning as of yet. Once I do know that may be a possibility, but when it comes to sensors, I'd rather be safe than sorry and just get new ones.

Going to see Kara with Arin, and picking up a set of headlights... Not picking her tp today, though. We'll see how it goes.

Well, we went and saw. Talked to Zahid, Zoheb's brother, but he didn't really tell me anything I didn't know already.

No headlights either. To anyone curious, there are no Mustangs at Pick N Pull worth looking twice at...

It's always like that. Whenever they get a Mustang, it gets stripped within days so all they have is a frame and a body...

The yard here in Baton Rouge, so I'm told, keeps about 20 Mustangs for pick and pull use, they range in years so it's the luck of the draw to see if they have any year one would need...

I found a set of lights for 75 bucks + shipping. I think that's a steal of a deal. As long as it goes through that is.

It should be good to go, though.

Smog was the latest greatest argument against, but I just got an email from Zoheb that says it's good with smog right now. We'll see what the parents say.

too bad you don't live in Illinois. we don't have to pass emissions on pre 1996 cars.

I don't think my family has ever had a car that ew haven't had to smog...

Anyway, If all things work out (which they notoriously don't), she should be home this weekend. But how many times have I said that?...

We'll see.

Most of the headlights I find are shell only, on eBay at least. Is that all I need, and the actual lights can be easily found, or should I only buy one that is OEM with the lights?

get a functioning set, either way, you'll need them. surprised there were no sets at a salvage yard. try checking your local craigslist for someone parting out '94-'98.
