A great big problem is though, that I don't have factory seats, and the seats I do have do not match up to the factory bolts. Because of that I can't take it out until I figure out how to bolt them down temporarily until I can get Bullitt/Mach/ or Cobra seats that would fit correctly, and as my mom says "more safely". (In you guys' opinion are factory seats any more safe than well bolted down aftermarket seats?)

On the TPS I just back probed the wire... ie. put it as such... and it was .96 volts when fully closed and 4.71 at WOT.

Cleaned it and it made no noticeable difference.

It still isn't a big fan of idling, but now it idles smoothly but just dies after about 4-5 minutes. From what I can tell, even though the IAC is fried the car is acting exactly the same. It's running really rich, but the TPS is set to exactly what everyone has said it should be. .97-4.7 is the range.

When I let off the gas and "pump it" it turns right on... does that make a difference to what you guys have recommended? Would an OBD1 scanner be a good investment if the check engine light goes on and off?

Thanks guys.

do you hear the fuel pump humming when the car is running? try putting a fuel pressure guage and adjustable regulator on the car. i had that problem with my 92 after i changed the heads and inkate. it would only stay running with the throttle down. and bucks and pinged under load while driving around neighborhood. the factory fuel pressure regulator couldnt supply enough fuel. fuel pressure was at 24 pounds. bought a adjustable regulator set the pressure to 40 pounds never had another problem like that again.

Those seats are the ones I'm stuck with that will not bolt down to the stock locations and therefore my mom has deemed "unsafe". sigh. I would let you have them, but the shipping is probably more than they are actually worth.

Well, in that case. In your own opinion, do you think aftermarket seats that are bolted down are any less safe than the stock ones they replace?

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to bolt down these seats? They are on sliders, but the position of all four bolts (they go down, no place to come up through like the front of the stock ones) are further apart in every direction compared to the stock four.

We were thinking about taking a peice of metal, drilling two holes for the stock bolts to come up through, and another two holes for the bolts off the seats to go through from the top. Drill two holes in the floor as well, and bolt the seats to the piece of metal before lowering it on to the stock bolts, then bolting that to the metal as well, so in essence still using the stock bolts to hold it down. Then of course just drilling through and through for the back bolts and tightening them from under the car.

Sound reasonable, or did I completely lose everyone? I have it set up to buy 01 Cobra seats for 300 bucks, but this is kinda just ideas for the future...

Have you thought about just getting some new mounting brackets. Im fairly positive there are some universal ones out there that you find to match up with the stock mounting bolts and then can mount to just about any seat.

I don't have the tools to fab. them myself. I wish I could though. I'll try to find some of those universal ones though.

Well the pictures don't work for some reason, I'll try to upload again later.

Anyhow, The passenger seat doesn't bolt in right, though the driver's seat fits perfect. The problem over there is worse though. The seat is electric, and though the old seat was electric, they have different connections. I set the seat up to fit how I want it to be when I drive, but I would appreciate if anyone knows how to fix the connections so the old (2 point) to the new(4 point).

Electric is all up to snuff after a bunch of soldering and new connectioins, now just waiting on the new passenger rails to come in the mail.

And yesterday I got my new shift ****. Momo Crystal. Looks pretty sweet. (Yes, Arin, I still want the t-handle)

I'm working on getting pictures up.
