Well hell its bout time u got rid of that mustang truck! I think my eibach sport lines look nice lol but it makes the e-brake cable hit the drive shaft so I have to move it out the way. Look out for that on yours I don't know how much they will drop yours.

Yeah I've just got the springs but I don't drive my car so I can wait on the c/c plates. It's the next thing I'm buying though, after my header panel and some spacers.

I know the feeling. I'm a senior in high school. What happened to the time?
Happy Birthday Brad. Hope it was a good one.

Alright. Sigh. I think I can manage the majority of it on my lonesome, and if worst comes to worst, I can always bug Terry to help me. (The guy who has all the fun tools) So I should be alright.
I still expect this to be a two day job.

Good luck Pete. I'll finish my bro's Tercel today. You wouldn't believe me, but I put back in that car's tranny in less than FIVE MINUTES! Maybe the raindrops falling from the sky were an influential factor, but seriously I've never ever EVER had worked on a fwd thats so easy to tinker with!
Normally putting back a manual trans requires some pushing, bashing wiggling and cursing to push them inside. At least my Protege was a ***** to put back, hell even the 84 Sentra I had was more complicated than that Tercel, and those Nissans are really simple.
I still can't believe it.

Five... minutes... I can not fully express the jealousy I'm feeling right now.

It's all 'bout experience
And luck, and a properly centered clutch. I finished it today at 11:15am aprox. You know, attaching all the block and trans bolts, axles, mounts, shift linkage, slave cylinder, starter, all wiring and filling with lubricant. About four hours total. And a cold beer.

Day two working 8-6:30. I got the clutch in, and the bellhousing on. That's it. At least another full day for the reinstalling everything else.
These things never seem to go as easy as you hope they will, do they? Helped someone in my club do one clutch job along w/quadrant and cable plus O/R H pipe and exhaust. It took about 2 days with a bunch of us. Hit all kinds of "snags." Just make sure there are no extra parts.
right?

My dad has helped with a couple things, and my brother helped during the actual dropping of the transmission, but other than that, I've been flying solo.

Does anyone have the part number for the bearing retainer for the throw out bearing? I have found it multiple places online, but the Ford parts department at the local dealership couldn't find it without a part number. Thanks.
