Umm... the bolts... were not as tough as we thought. A wrench of the correct size easily took the other two bolts off, and we replaced the others with new ones from Orchard Supply. After that there were really no stops...

LOL'd @ your commentary, but cringed seeing the car going down those ramps. If they're anything like the metal ones my cousin has at his house, I know they won't let a 245 section width tire sit squarely on - probably right on or over the edges on both sides. Kind of steep looking too, even w/the stock 4x4 ride height.
BTW, how are the exhaust tips secured? They looked kind of "floppy" loose when it revved... and are you planning to modify the rocker panels (more fun w/fiberglass!) or will you be looking to purchase new ones?
Having the right tools for the job does make things easier, doesn't it?

 

The real rockers are removed because peter (and I) think the car looks cleaner without them, but the original holes are there. We are going to put a bolt through one of the holes (which lines up perfectly with the exhaust hanger) so that should secure the tips

Peter was also terrified putting his car on the ramps, and even more terrified when all four wheels were off the ground.

If only we always had the right tools for every job.... sigh...

It is... Wrinkled. I have a spare fender waiting for paint in my garage, but money is in short supply at the moment. We'll see how it goes.

I agree the driving off of the ramps was scary, but the tires fit fine inside the grooves, so it was better off than your brother's metal ones. The fact that it didn't scrape on the way up was comforting as well.

 

WOw that looks killer! Hvn't seen the vids yet but the pictures look so sexy. how does the rear of the car look without the exhasut? i can't remember if the 94-98 have exhaust cut outs in the bumper..


anotehr thing, the car looks really good without the rocker panels... i think you should keep them off and somehow fill the holes.

and one more another thing. You should get some gt350 side scoops instead of those stock ones, that would look mean.

 

It looks great from the back. After I wash/wax my car I'm going down to SJ to take pics of both cars (after we wash n wax pete's too lol)

Also, Pete, other Pete wants to hang out too, so I told him to bring the M. He just got a Dynan clutch, flywheel and tune

The bumper in 94-98s dont have a cutout, so it looks really clean, especially with the blackout bit we put in
