I found this one online tonight. Kinda a bad pic though! And it's pretty far from you too!

I don't need one in like new condition,
100,000+ miles is ok with me as long as it's got the parts I need.

Thank you for all of your help guys, I really appreciate it.

If they are willing to give you some cash, I think they should send it my way first. You already have a car. A very nice one at that.

Put those on Nathan. ALL of them. You wont be complaining about "slow" anymore ever again

Yeah, then you'll just be complaining about your engine evaporating...

Only if you have like a million intercoolers would that be close to a decent idea Arin. But at least you are thinking Arin, we have made improvements towards a decent thought...

Shut up Peter. Don't make me remind you that we all have cars. Most Mustangs, and all better than Dodge pickups

So are you ging the t-bird route? If i'm not mistaken the t-birds with 4.6's also had independent rear suspension...

I thought the FFR coupe could only use the 5.0 engine because of size/chassis space restrictions? I suppose something may have changed since I last checked out their catalog/sales literature.

The 4.6 has been used in a couple Coupes that I have heard of. The 5.0 from a T-bird has been used in a couple of roadsters, but not in a coupe. I don't know how much modification it would need, but I figure even transforming it into a complete Mustang 5.0 would cost less than the difference between the two.

I'm thinking about going the 289 route too now. Since the T-bird fell through I don't know if I'll go through with a different one.

I was looking at the factory five website. That FFR coupe looks sweet. Think my 99 GT would work as a donor? Too bad they don't have optional headers for the 4.6L engine.

Yes, I'm not sure what modifications you would need, but the major one would be making new engine mounts.

You can contact Mark Weber at Factory Five, mark.weber@factoryfive.com, or you can check out www.ffcobra.com.

I'll ask around.

you don't have to do that, i don't have the time or money to build one of those.. But I would love to see the progress of yours if you get it going.

I won't have the funds either until late into next summer. I will definitely share the journey on here though. Have no doubt TMS is still my "home" as far as forums come.

I will ask around anyway just to see how much I would have to do if I by luck find a 4.6.
