Muffler leaking

I've got some sort of liquid leaking out of my muffler, does anybody know what it could be and what I would have to have done to have it fixed? Thanks for any help!

liquid? that would be condensation, most likely. The fix? weld up the hole, or maybe try some type of heat resistant glue/putty (if something like this is available?)

Do you see where it's leaking from?

It's probably water. If you look at the back of the factory mufflers, where the exhaust pipe comes out, there is a small hole for condensation to exit. The heat of the engine running through the pipes creates condensation with the cool air in and outside the exhaust system. It's perfectly normal, and isnt a sign of a problem with your car, but it is the reason most exhaust systems rust. As long as all the connections between the muffler and pipes are secure, dont worry about the water.

Yeah, it's that little hole...thanks for the info, I had never seen it leaking before, so that's why all of the sudden I noticed and couldn't remember it ever doing it. We had some bad rain last week where I lived and I know the bottom of my car was submerged in some floods, (I saw some guy in a GT that had the water go up over the front of his hood, looked like a Bullitt too) Might be unlikely but I wonder if I got some extra moisture in there. Thanks again guys.
