Blown air bags

I have a 1994 mustang my son was nice enough to test the air bag system. In the crash both air bags where set off. When I replace them do I need to replace the sensors too? It looks like there is one in the steering column and one under the dash. Also I was told the ford escourt was interchangeable with the mustang, Is this true?

Thanks Dave

If you dont have a set of airbags yet, I have a set of grey ones that came out of a 95 V6. I also have the air bag controll module that comes with it.

I believe I-CAR recommends replacing the sensors, clockspring, bags, and control module. If my son were driving the car, I would double check I-CAR recommendations and stick to them.

I'd kill him first, then fix the car... in that order mind you...

Thanks for your help. I have a set of bags already, but thanks. The accident was not my son fault. It was a 46 year old talking on the cell phone. I though that was only kids that ran into thing when thay are on the cell phone.

Silver99, if you still have the airbags, will you part with just the driver's bag? Are they the light grey (graphite)?

I'm not too far from you in Ardmore (on the TN/AL line).

Thanks,
Tony

I still have them, but I need them to go as a pair. Yes they are the light grey. About how far from me are you?

About 45-50 miles.

I already have the entire system with sensors, module and clock spring. I just need the drivers bag.

Thanks anyway.
