Loose Drive shaft

Got my 2000 GT inspected today and the mechanic said that my drive shaft is loose. Is it the bearings? Do I need a new one?

I'm trying to sell this car asap and this lost me a sale...

Called them yesterday before work, they said the joint is loose and either needs to be tightened or replaced. So which one is it? Can it be just tightened like a screw?

Friday when I wake up I'll be jacking up the car and checking things out.

the only thing that can come loose is the bolts that hold the driveshaft to the pinion flange most likely one or both of the universal joints are bad

It probably just needs new u-joints.
Cheap fix.
What kind of a dummy would pass up a car if the only thing wrong with it was worn u-joints?
I wonder if whatever car he buys, the mechanic gives an okay and then it ends up costing him $2000 to fix something the guy couldn't see.

The mechanic also told him that a transmission mount costs $1500-$2000 to replace. $100 in parts, $1400-$1900 in labor for about 2 hours of work... sounds fair to me!!!

Also, is http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
this the right part? Doesn't say anything about it being for the drive shaft though...

Or would this work?
http://www.autozone.com/selectedZip,.../selectZip.htm

Seeing how it's such a cheap part, I might as well just get it locally and save on the shipping.
