Ive got a 93 LX that I need to get a new hood seal for. However Im not oing to pay $53 bucks for a new one when the one for the SN-95 is only $17. What im wanting to know is does the seal have the felt on the side that the hood hits? How long is it? and how does it attach? Thanks for your help.

BTW If youre not sure what im talking about its the rubber peice at the back pf the hood on the firewall.

The hood seal for the sn95's is just like the door seals used on your fox body they are all rubber with the hollow core foam tube on the top. the base is a u channel renforced with wire to hold its shape. it just presses over the lip on the firewall and stays in place. It might fit your car , but then again it might not because the sn95's are a little wider than the fox bodys. There is no felt on it any where. If it is too big you might be able to trim it to fit. if you want a pic to compare it to your old let me know.

Dang. It sounds completly different. The one on the fox is L shaped and have felt on the top when the hood hits. I think its held into place by push pins.
