i was just browsing ebay for a buddy of mine for stuff for his thunderbird, and i was wondering, would the stock digital climate control be able to transfer over to my cobra? here is the auction:

if someone could help me out, that'd be awesome. i think it would be cool to have that digital climate control.

Right off the bat I would have to say no. Most of the electronic systems use a motor on the temp blend door instead of the cable like is used on manual systems. There would also be a temp sensor some where in the dash to maintain the preset temp. Also according to the pic on the auction there is also a exterior temp sensor that would have to be added to the exteroir of the car. It might work with out it, but it might display some error instead of working correctly. Also the auto fan function is tied to the interor temp sensor so that will not function correctly unless that is installed as well. Then there is the issue of the connectors being different. Sorry to be such a downer.

It may not just plug in and work, but if you've got the time, and ability, i bet you could make it work

eh, i just thought it was a cool idea, and i knew that i wasn't going to waste my money on something if it was more time consuming than just buying it on ebay, and slapping it in. especially when i dont need to replace anything. thanks for the help guys!
