Glass Pack
Alright, i know this is probably a frequent question, but i would really appreciate the help. I have a 1996 V6 mustang and i want to make it sound like the old "american muscle" sound (how cliche) and i heard someone talking about glass packs or cherrybombs and was wondering if those would do the job. Also what type of sound does it give me. Sound clips would be grrreaaaaatttt. Thanks.
I hate to tell you but it is almost impossible to make a V6 sound like a V8.
I guess something like a Glasspack would help fool some people but it won't ever get that american muscle sound.

I hear Mac sounds good on the V6... I love it on my GT.

I bought the Mac exhaust and I am VERY impressed with it. Extremely loud, good growl.
Many people approach me and say "man, I LOVE the sound of that v-8"
hehehhe. I also but a Mac intake, so that made the engine much louder too.
I highly recommend it!

Go with true dual exhaust and some nice single chambered mufflers. Ever here a pickup truck that is loud as crap and just has a very very awfull, raspy tone to it? That is what glass packs or cherry bombs would do to your car.
I agree with the Mac catback for V6 cars option. I've heard it once before and its hte best sound i've been around for a V6.
Glasspacks and cherry bombs sound like a rusted out chevy truck. I wouldnt put those on any stang, even a classic.
