Gambler 500 Mustang.

Sooooo.....

I usually slum around the S197 forum. But now have decided to use an older car for my Gambler ride.

For those who don’t know. The Gambler 500 is a 500 dirt/road rally where your car isn’t supposed to cost more than $500.

So the plan is a cheap SN95. Chop the top, weld the doors, roll bar, and big tires. The tires are the problem.

I want to go about 29” tires. And am planning on cutting the fenders to make room. I’d like about an inch more ride height. Whats the best way to do this???

i am assuming a V6, so it seems that using V8 springs would give a lift. Any other ideas?

Also so any ideas for longer coils in back?

Is this all making sense and seeming like fun?

sounds like fun for sure. I wonder if a spacer would work under the back springs would work, but I would bet those stock springs would be pretty bouncy. May some old f150 springs
