Did anyone see overhaulin last night. It was probably a repeat but it was the first time I saw it. Anyway, they did a 1970 Mustang for the SEMA show and called it the 514 Gambler. They put the 514 Ford racing engine in it and man it was sick. Can't get a picture on this post but here is the link:
http://www.overhaulin.com/gallery20.aspx
They even made custom tires by cutting a pattern of pony heads into the rubber to make the tread.

I finally got to watch it. I was out of town when it aired the first time, and the hotel didn't have TLC. They really did a nice job with that car.

Just saw it last night, and I'm happy they did a car for a guy like that. When they did a car for Lance Armstrong, and one for some other celebrity, it just defeated the purpose of the show. Those guys can afford to have someone restore their cars, and that guys reaction to the Gambler is what that show should be about, not pulling in Hollywood for ratings.

That car was beautiful. I enjoyed the man's expression. He deserves it.
I like the wheels, but they seemed 2" too big where the max may lie. The overall diameter was right on.
Small gripe, I still LOVE that car.

Yeah, I wasn't too fond of the wheel size either. The design wasn't too bad...looked a bit like the old Shelby Cobra wheels. But the size was too much. Tone 'em down to some 17 inchers, and they'd have been all right.

I would love to get a set of those Foose wheels for my '05 GT. I wonder what they would look like...I am no good at photoshop though.

I would have rather seen Bullitts or Mag wheels on it, I'm not a big fan of those rims

Yep, awesome car, except for the rims. Not my personal favorite, but I sure as heck wouldn't turn that car down!

Hahaha, give it time, I am sure you'll be paid back 1,000 times (one way or another) +200 on the wheels, rest of the Stang is awesome. B)

I posted a thread last night in the Mustang TV alert section. It's got that link and a couple of pics. It was nice to see a regular Mustang guy get his car done. I agree with everyone else, no need to help celebs "with" money.
