He ran a 13.34 @106.xx for his best time. He was on stock wheels/tires as well. I got him off the line, and at the trap (I was in third, he was in fourth) he was pulling like a ***** on me!!

Did you ride the clutch out in 1st?

 

Nah . . I rev’ed her to ~2200rpm’s (I have varied between 1900-2400 launches on my seven runs) or so and no feathering of the clutch, but I did feather the gas somewhat. I didn’t do any burnouts, but I did drop hop the wheels in the staging lane which seemed to help.

I didn't let anyone use my camera for my run. :bang: But a friend's Fiancee (the one with the Yellow Mach in the above picture) took video of us. The problem is her camera isn't digital, so it's on tape, and I think they are trying to figure out how to convert it to digital so we can post it. I'll keep you posted, or just wait until next time and have someone use my digital video camera.

Man . .you mph is 1-2mph higher than mine, I wonder if the cooler temperatures might be the factor for that? :scratch: You hold third gear through the trap? I'm still trying to get my run(s) off video. Hopefully we'll both have some video soon!!

Thanks Jason, yes, I hold 3rd through the traps. When I shift into 4th, the MPH goes down to 102 range.

Doug, that's about the best 60' I could do with the conditions, with very little spin. Street cars on street tires don't have low 60' times. Not sure if it everywhere, but at the track I went to, slicks require a driveshaft loop.

EDIT: Video #1 has me in it. It looks like ran a 13.7. My buddy was filming so unfortunately he got the more of the kids than me at the line.

Video #2 has my friends in a 69 Dodge Dart witha 340 4-spd and a 97 BMW M3...quite the site going down the interstate.
