I have a 1998 GT that has a very slow electrical drain that will run the battery down in about 7 days if the car is not started.

The battery has been replaced...still happens.

If I pull fuse #8 out, the car can sit for weeks without any drain.

fuse #8 powers:

- Courtesy Lamps
- Radio
- Power Mirrors
- Remote Keyless Entry

I physically removed the radio because it is aftermarket and I thought that might fix the problem...but no.

Any brilliant ideas?

yOU HAVE A SHORT SOMEWHERE.

I would start witht he power mirrors. A Motor that is shorting internally can draw power. See if either motor is warm or hot this may be a tell tail sign.

next check the wire harnesses for the other system for any frays or tears in the outer jacket.

Got luck !!
Hope this helps.

I think the keyless entry takes a voltage at all times. Is your battery old? could explain how even a tiny drain will affect the cars starting.
