4r70w issue

1998 GT Auto with transmission issue. Reverse is good, OD is good, 3rd is good. Problem is slipping in 1-2. All issues started when down shifting from 3 to 2 on acceleration. Would rev high before shift. Changed fluid and filter and seemed fine for 2 to 3 days. Now this. Ideas?

Factory Shop Manual PDF'S

@Cduke

Hello,

Welcome To Tms.

I Have Enclosed What I Think are The Relevant Shop Manual Pdf's For You! Have You Checked For Codes! If Not Maybe a Good Idea.
If You Don't Have a Reader Many Auto Parts Stores Will Check For Free!

Oh and on A Side Note Unless You Have a Drain Plug On the Torque Converter When You Do A Fluid & Filter Change There is Still Quite a Bit of Old Dirty Fluid Left in the System So You Might want to Take a Good Look At the Fluid and See if it Looks Dirty Again Already. The Additive Will Help if The Fluid You Changed Was Really Dirty in the First Place.

Take A Good Look at The Bg Info as It May Help as Well

As Far as Additives Which May Help I Used & Sold Bg Products While Work At Ford Dealer's For 3+ Decades. Surely Would Not Hurt!

Amazon Amazon

Hopefully Some of this Info Will Help!
