Good pics Arin!
Nice Pics!! They both look great! I think the Bullitt wins the beauty competition though!
Nice pics Arin, though next to the Bullit that M looks really ugly to me, not that it's not a competent car that performs well but style wise I have always thought they were a little ugly. I think it's the rear no offense to your friend of course just my 2 cents. Still great pics and thanks

Thanks everyone, and no worries Tom, we all have our opinions
My buddy got a great deal on the M. its an '00 with 100K miles, so the price was fairly depreciated already, he payed about 3K more than the Bullitt (I think I win for best deal)
I appreciate the comments guys. The more I do this (and the farther I get in my research paper on the Mustang) the more I'm beginning to think this is the thing for me. My english teacher and my editors tell me I'm a great writer, and my friend loved the pics as well. Maybe I'll take some journalism classes in college. Automotivephotojournalist sounds like a great career to me

Tom,
My buddy who drives the M was reading this thread, and just wanted me to let you know he's rather fond of your car lol. He had planned to buy an 07 mustang GT, or perhaps a GT/CS but he saw the M by chance on his way home from looking at mustangs, and the price was about $10K less than the Mustangs he wanted so he sprung for it.
Even if you all don't particularly care for it, I must say, it is one FUN car
its got its oddities though. shift patter for example

There was a lock-out ring on the M's shifter, right? It's not veird, it's chermann enchineering - in da haus! VW's and the Saturn L-series are the other examples i've personally seen with a pattern like that.
Ya, there were tons of cars like that at the auto show! But dang I was mad! Both of the stangs there had autos!! And the GT-500 was behind ropes!
(but I touched it anyways

It was weird to me lol. The only shifters I have encountered are the standard mustang 5 speed and the old 4 speed in my II

So do you have to have your dad in the car all the time you drive now, or just on your way up to the race? Sorry for taking it a bit off topic, but reading about your little acceleration escapades, and then that your dad is coming to the race...
Well, it just clicked right now.
You know, after I've rested, and taken a good couple of waking hours trying to decifer the normal Arin rhetoric

And just as a side note about C****'s Bug:
If you disconnected the battery than that automatically switches off the check engine light. Then, if the problem had self corrected, the light would not have come back on.
(You just put "a friend" so I wasn't sure if I'm supposed to be keeping "that friend's" name secret, just incase you perhaps did something dumb, and now "that friend" is running from the law, or moreso, the general public)

We didn't touch the battery at all on Cammy's Bug.
We popped the hood, Smarter Peter and I looked at the engine, had her start it, turn it off, turn it on, run the AC, stop AC and light went away. Go figure lol
And dad is just coming along for the drive bec they don't want me driving that far away without someone with me. Again, go figure (sheeeit, if I can figure out the streets of SF with no experience driving at all, I can find Sonoma just fine with a bunch of friends. parents are weird sometimes lol)

I can't stand driving with my dad lol! I was driving with him in my stang on Easter, and all he did was tell me to turn here, stop there, etc. He treated me like it was my first time ever driving a car! Have fun!
