I meant the writing! I didn't spend nine hours detailing my car yesterday for nothing!

I don't have AC! And I'm proud of it! I'm glad I have power windows though!

You and me both... Well I have A/C but I don't know if it works since the car hasn't ever been on long enough to see if it actually works. I think I'm a little worse off than either of you.

Unhappy

I'm at work and I suppose now is as good a time as any to inform you all. Kaylee has a lil bit of battle damage

The first was some curb rash from an underground movie theater parking garage. Looked worse than it was initially, but its only about an inchish, and its not as deep as i thought it was.

The second happened last night at my friends house. Her house is nigh impossible to get to, and her driveway is terrifying. Lets see the diagram.

brown is house/garage. Grey is driveway. after the vertical grey strip on the left, it gets curvy, thats a steep decline. She lives on a freaking mountain lol. So.

Blue car? Her VW Bug
Grey car? Her mom's VW passat
Black car? Mom's Bf's Grand Cherokee
Green car? If I have to tell you....

So you can see its rather difficult to get into that spot im in. Its equally difficult to get out of it. there usually isnt a Black Jeep there, so my 3 point turn is easy. clearly by the presence of this jeep, its not going to be so this time. I start reversing and cranknig the wheel to the left until i realize im about 1" from the bumper of the Jeep. I straighten out, go back and start my forwards/right motion, again getting very close to the jeep. I'll be ****ed if that driveway is level;as I shfited back into reverse, car rolls forward, light tap on jeeps unpainted plastic bumper. Insert THUNK noise and cussing from Arin';s mouth. I'm usually easy on the clutch and take this slow, bec I have wiggle room, but this time I didnt. So just to get away quick, I released the clutch a little too fast and went back and left a liottle fast. See that orange dot? Thats a potted plant. Apparently its there so you can hit it and stop before you hit the concrete wall. At least it did its job. So I shatterd a rather large potted plant. There were scuffs in the bumper, and i didnt check the front yet, but it was 11pm so im goign to check it again in the daylight (Oh and for the record, my dad drives me to work to save gas, so I havent had tiem to check her out today)

I kill the engine, and run inside to tell cammy and her mom's bf of what I hit. She heard the crash so she was runnign down the stairs anyway and asked what happened. I told her all of the above and she said "go get out of here before anyone sees" though she wasnt entirely serious. I suppose my good intentions ended up being a good thing since when I got back out... the rather large dent in the Jeeps bumper were gone I was confused as sin. I could see a white line typical of bent plastic, faint, n the bumper. I was trying to find her mom to explaim it all but they were nowhere to be found (guest house perhaps...) I told cammy to tell her mom about the plant and Don about the car and I'd pay for the damages, but thank bob there was no laasting damage in the jeep (though I still would like to tell Don)

Cammy was actually more concerned for the Bullitt's DHG than she was for the potted plant or Don's Jeep. Man shes awesome I'll inspect when I get home from work tonight and post pics if necc.

On the plus side, the II is running lihe a champ! Powerslides on windy mountain roads and all (without p/s lol!)

The nose has no damage, thankfully, but there are some scratches in the rear. I couldn't see them in the daylight until I got my face right by the bumper and low to the ground and REALLY inspected it. There are some small scratches that'll buff right out, but a few deep ones that dont want to go away. Nothing as big as any coin or anything, they are all really tiny. Thank Bob you can't see em until you're less than a foot away

Meh, its not for everyone. I've seen it done before, and I really like the look. On the other end of the mod spectrum I'm doing my research on tuners and CAI right now, MAYBE gears as well. I'm thinking JLT fenderwell for the CAI and a custom tune from bamachips, which tuner and the specifics thereof are still being planned, but I'd really like to get this done before college starts.

I know the CAI will run me about $225, give or take some, another $400 for the tuner. I have no idea how much gears will cost me (installed, out the door. This is NOT something I'll do myself)

We'll see how it goes. I'm enjoying planning how to spend some of my summer job dollars, but at the same time, its almost stressful lol. I want to make sure I get the most bang for my buck, and at the same time get the best quality stuff. Still beats half assing it though..

Of course - I was giving my cheap $.01 worth. I can't believe how much of a Bullitt purist I am these days . I don't even like changing the wheels out on them!!

Good luck with those changes.

I assume you are on the IMBOC forums, where you can get TONS of recommendations.

Sooooo I got a little bored today, washed Kaylee and then I decided I needed some pictures of her, and preferably not from my driveway. I took her up to the local community college and snapped a few shots. Enjoy everyone!

I know, not the Bullitt but I love her

Rest of the pictures can be seen here

Sorry to hear about the drama in the driveway. There's one for sale out here (dk. blue) for about $15K. Hmm....
