00 rear diff leak?

Hi, I have a 2000 gt and did a diff service last week And a leak has started coming out of the breather vent. I have researched and seen that It can be due to overfilled but it was only filled to the bottom of the fill point. I have had to put in just under 2qts in the past week. There is a tsb for certain years but not mine. I installed a new OEM breather with thread tape and torqued properly and it still leaks heavily. What should I do?

Do you mean that little vent tube on top of the diff? The only thing I could imagine is the fluid is foaming and working its way out. Do you have rear drums or disks. If drums, you may want to check the axle seals for leaks also. Also what fluid are you using?

I have rear disk brakes, and i was told to use 75w-140 + the additive, and only filled to just under the fill hole. It is the "rattlecap vent" that is to the right of the diff pumpkin. i know there is gunna be minor seepage coming out when i romp on it hard but this is just normal highway driving ~80mph and it is dripping all over my gastank and all over the ground.
