Want to use factory switches with heated seats

I haven't had much feedback on this

I want to use the factory heated seat switches from the 07 (part number 7R3Z-19980-B). The switches are 1 stage only, apparently.

I need to know if there are heated seat coil and harness that would be compatible with these switches.

If not, and I need to get all the Ford parts to do this, where would the harness have to plug into?

Cheers

Might be worth checking with KC at Clevparts@aol.com. Or, give him a call.

I bought the console with the factory switches. They are located where the blankout buttons between the a/c , air circulation and rear defrost buttons are, below the climate control ***** are. You can't just buy the buttons, you need to buy the whole panel with the a/c controls.
By the way, the ***** on the new panel have more resistance than the 05/06 ones do, and so don't have that cheap feel that I hated.
Its pricey, but I want the factory look. I found a place that said they should be able to hook up thier aftermarket kit to these buttons. Will let you know.

I di not get the wirng harness. The assembly cost me $258, but it comes with the entire climate control. The ***** ae a higher quality feel than the old ones. Pretty pricey to gett that factory look, but it is what I want. I'll let you know when I get it delivered and installed.

Well from what I remember the 07 you cant switch out the buttons for aftermarket, there like glued or something. So if you want the look of bullit buttons this mod wont let you. I love the idea tho putting the factory switches into play. good luck please post some details when your done. thanks

You can switch out the buttons, but you need to replace the entire cluster, not the individual buttons.

I just recieved the cluster in the mail. Warning! Don't use UPS if you are shipping into Canada. They made me pay $70 in brokerage fees!!

Yes, it still hurts when I sit.

OK, question...

Which wires can I tap from the climate control module to send power to the heated seats? I don't know which pins are for what.

OK,

Took a while, but I figured it all out.

For those wanting hte stock dash switches, here's how it works.

First, you need the climate control module from a 2007.

Driver's:
12v power through a 25amp fuse to a relay (pin 30 and 86). From the back of the climate control module, attach a wire to pin 12 to the relay (pin 85). Then attach a wire from pin 87 to the heated seat.

Passenger:
12v power through same 25amp fuse to a different relay (pin 30 and 86). From the back of the climate control module, attach a wire to pin 13 to the relay (pin 85). Then attach a wire from pin 87 to the heated seat.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

What heating eleaments did you get? Can you tell they are under the leather? I want to get this for my seats but I'm afraid you would be able to see the coil pattern bellow the leather.

I don't know which heated seat pads I got, as I didn't do the install. I only did the climate module/switches.

You should not see the heated seat pads, as they are flat. Lots of after market heated seats out there, and I've never seen a problem with the upholstery.
