USB Input?

Since the Sync is not going to be offered in the '08 Mustang. Has anyone found a way to put a USB fob into the stock radio system without installing a computer or a new head-unit, using the stock radio controls, similar to how the trip-tunes advance works. Or can you modify the trip-tunes advance to make it work with a USB drive instead of IPod? I know the Mustang's come with the AUX input now. But USB is becoming a standard addon for most vehicles now. And we still don't have it.

I'm interested in this too.. but my guess is that it's not possible without additional hardware to accept USB data.

SYNC is not retrofittable. Its tied into everything in the car (electronics, safety items, you name it). I wish it was, as I've used it at work here at the dealer in the new 2008 Edge Limited. Amazing system.

What i want to know is what Idiot at Ford decided that the 2008 Freestyle was good enough for Sync, but the Mustang isnt.

It has more to do with compatibilty issues with the ECU of the car, thats all. This isn't some cheap add-on system. Its going make OnStar look obsolete when the 2nd and 3rd Phase are done. Rumor, same safety items, like auto 911 call when airbag is deployed, when phone is paired in car, and unlocking of vehcle. Just the tip of the iceberg. Plus unlike OnStar, no monthly charge.
