I was hoping we could get a thread going of pictures of 05 Stangs with aftermarket tinting so we can get an idea of what looks good, is too dark, etc.
Post pictures and % for front, 1/4 windows, and rear.

I'm looking for this info too. I plan I getting my windows tinted on Tuesday. I know some of you have your windows tinted, lets see those pics! We need some help here.
I'm thinking 30% too dark? I dunno.

18% all around!
That is what my car will be. 5% rear and side windows, and 35% on the doors. ( Missouri law)....................how does it look?

That thread is huge. Anyway you can post the pics here...I was thinking of 15% in the back...and 25% up front.
CA law is 70% up front and anything on the rear.

I was going to say; I thought tiniting the front was illegal in Pittsburgh. I would like tint, but I live two blocks from the police station. And I have to drive past them to get to my house. So I guess I won't be getting the front tinted. Not sure if I want to tint just the back three windows.

FYI: I was curious as to what my state limits were... found this link that shows all states.

Defintions for the 'VLT%' and 'R%' inthe PDF link
Visible Light Transmittance (VLT)
(‘vi-ze-bel · lIt · tranz–‘mi-tens) n.
The amount of visible light that passes through the glazing system, expressed as a percent. A lower VLT rating tends to be better for glare control, while a higher rating is preferred for maintaining natural light.
Solar Reflectance ®
(sO-ler • ri- ‘flek–tans) n.
The amount of solar energy (visible, infrared and ultraviolet) that is reflected by the glazing system, expressed as a percent.

Hope that helps - I'm not sure if the numbers by state are accurate - but it's at least a starting point. Whoever does your tinting will know what is legal and what's not in your area. B)
