I think I'd be nervous about putting stripes on such a nice car too, I'm sure it'll come out fine though. What color are you going for?

I thought someone might think this post belongs in interior.

Thanks for the compliments all.

I am going with Charcoal Metallic for the stripes. It looks almost exactly like the color of my wheels, which is what I was looking for. I didn't expect that color to match, but it did. 10.5 and 1.5 spacing...unless I decide to change the spacing.

As for the tint. NO...they did not add the felt. I talked to 8 shops (couldn't find any more) here in Knoxville and they all thought I was crazy. They all said they have done the 2005-up Mustangs without a problem. I even told them what people have been doing. I plan to just add them myself. I really didn't want them messing with my door panels anyway. I have another day or so before I can roll them down and I am off work until next Tuesday, so maybe I will get it done.

I am waiting for my BMR LCAs to come in also.

Longevity check came and went...

Resist the urge to roll down those new tinted windows till you get the felt installed. It's easy and takes about 20 minutes to do. You will thank the forum later after you see what happens to tint after one roll down with a piece of sand in the channel.

Stripes will make it look better for sure. I installed the window felt myself. Go to a big box store and purchase 1/2 wide strip of Velcro and use the felt side. This stuff has like super duper glue on the back I had to purchase two packages to get the length I needed for both sides. Cost was about $16 Clean area with alcohol first. Start on the mirror end and work to the rear.

Thanks. I have not rolled them down yet. I appreciate the interest people have in helping me out on this. With this many warnings, I better listen. I am heading out to see if I can find the velcro. Maybe Walmart has it?

I got the stripes done today and posted on the exterior mod sub-forum.

Well NJ3, our cars look a little different now.

Ive had my windows tinted for over a year and a half. No felt, no scratches.

Cant wait to see how your Redfire looks with tint. I just cant bear to alter mine, it looks to good just the way it is.
