stock speakers blown...

Speakers
I have the same problem with the front speakers, I took the cover off and had a look and the inner rim was ripped. These speakers are not good enought for a Shaker 500 system. I am going to a sound shop next week and will let you know what happens.

After my rear speakers blew I replaced them with Kenwood KFC-C6880ie speakers front and back. They're not the most expensive but sound better than the stockers.

Which speakers blew? The subs? (I'm wondering, because I'd like to replace whatever tends to blow first before it blows..)

Speakers
Both of the front speakers have gone now, my friend said it's from playing
Molly Hatchet to loud.
I been to two sound shops and listened to several sets now, will go to the last store Tuesday.
I will post what I find out, but I will replace all the speakers the stock ones just don't cut it.

More on the speakers!
After my trips to three stores here is what happened.
If the sub's are gone, good luck, the mounts will mean body work in the door's. If it is just the back or upper side doors there is no problem.
The Sub mount is a mess, I hope we hear from more people on this subject.
Speakers: Top 10 list.
10. Pioneer: $55.00 to $99.00.
9. Kenwood $49 to $104.00
8. Focal $69 to $299.00 ( These sound great!!!!! )
7. Alpine $129 to $249 ( You will need to add a power amp )
6. Polk Audio $69.00 to $239 ( Add a power amp )
What where's, is the rest , these are the best I have heard, still we have the same problem, the subs!!!!!!!. The rest is easy.
So has anyone had better luck than me yet?
I have sent an email to Ford about this, and am going to work with Sound Avice on this, so I hope more people will tune in on this problem.

There are I think 2 or 3 slim line 10" subs that will fit into the doors. Do a search and you should find some threads on them. I believe Pioneer has a model that someone has adapted pretty easily.
Hope this helps,

This is what I'm planning on installing:
http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showpo...51&postcount=2
http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/produ...5&locale=en_US
They go for about $45/ea. 150watts rms (300 max). Just get a small 150x2 watts rms @4ohm amp to power em.
